Celebrate Easter morning with us on April 5 at 9:00 or 11:00 AM as we gather for vibrant, joy-filled worship proclaiming the resurrection of Christ. Both services will feature our choir, band, and a special invited orchestra, creating a powerful and beautiful celebration of hope and new life.

During both services, KidZone worship and Easter activities will be available, offering a meaningful and fun experience for our children as they celebrate too. Nursery care is provided at the 9:00 and 11:00 services.

We are so excited to introduce something NEW this year — an Easter Sunrise Service beginning at 6:00 AM on our church lawn. As the sun rises, we will gather outdoors to celebrate the hope and joy of the resurrection in a simple, beautiful, and spirit-filled time of worship.

There is something powerful about proclaiming “He is risen!” as the light breaks over a new day. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, invite a friend, and come experience Easter morning in a fresh and meaningful way.

Join us for a solemn and powerful Good Friday Tenebrae service as we gather at SCUMC to remember the depth of Christ’s sacrifice. Through scripture, reflection, and the gradual dimming of light, we will walk together through the story of the cross.

This special service will include music led by a combined choir, uniting voices from our churches in a moving expression of worship. We invite you to come, reflect, and prepare your heart as we continue the journey toward Easter.

Join us for a deeply meaningful Holy Thursday service on April 2 at 7:00 PM as we gather to remember the night Jesus shared the Last Supper with his disciples and prepared their hearts for what was to come.

We will be blessed by a special presentation of the drama “Remember Me,” featuring a combined cast from Valencia Church and SCUMC. Through scripture, music, and storytelling, this powerful service invites us to step into the story together and reflect on Christ’s love in a personal and transformative way.

All are welcome as we journey toward the cross — together.

Join us right after church at 11:45 AM as we come together to assemble hygiene kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). These simple but powerful kits provide essential supplies to people recovering from disasters and crises around the world — offering dignity, care, and hope when it’s needed most.

All ages are welcome. Come serve alongside your church family and help us share Christ’s love in a tangible way.

Our annual charge conference will be held on February 8th at 11:45 a.m. in the sanctuary. We will be voting on the business of the church and updating the congregation on the latest VUMC progress and the status of our growth. All are invited and welcome to attend.

VUMC youth will be taking a special offering after each service to benefit local food banks.

Please join us for Christmas Eve. We will have an interactive family-friendly worship at 3 p.m. with a Christmas pageant. At 7:30 and 9 p.m., there will be candlelight and festive music with both the worship band and traditional choir. At 11 p.m., we will have a traditional worship with candlelight and Holy Communion.

The holiday season is difficult for some who have experienced a loss, stress, or loneliness.  Join us for a different kind of service of comfort, peace and hope.

In this heart-warming and hope-filled Advent musical, three adult siblings reunite to pack up their late mother’s home—-only to be visited by her heavenly spirit after she was granted one more day to help them. Through laughter, memories and music, One More Day reminds us that grace still shows up, especially at Christmas.

Please save the date to kick off Advent Season with our annual Advent Celebration, Sunday, November 30th. We’re changing it up this year! We’ll begin with worship and tree decorating at 5:30 p.m. Then, after worship, we’ll take in the Living Nativity on our way to Fellowship Hall for cocoa, cookies and carolers, s’mores, photo booth and a family Advent craft. There will also be a service project so you can help others to enjoy this holiday season. Bring some canned goods for our local food banks. We are seeking donations to cover the cost of the 20,000 meals we will be packaging. We need to raise $6500. We will be assembling the meals on October 5.
