Children’s Ministries
My name is Kelley Cannizzaro and I’m the Director of Family Ministries at Valencia United Methodist Church. I’m glad that you’ve taken the time to explore what we offer as we are in ministry with kids and families. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information.
Sunday mornings - KidZone at 9 and 10:30a.m.
9am – Children in kindergarten through 6th grade meet together in an engaging, mixed-age setting. This collaborative environment encourages kids of all ages to interact, share insight and learn from one another.
10:30am – Children ages 4 through 6th grade are grouped in classes with their peers. These engaging, small-group settings give children a great space to connect, share ideas, and dive deep into age-appropriate Bible lessons and discussions tailored to their stage of life.
Each week, children experience exciting, biblically grounded lessons designed to turn big Bible truths into practical, everyday wisdom. Through interactive group conversations and fun activities, kids discover how to apply God's Word directly to their daily lives and choices.
kidzone clubs
KidZone Clubs is a Wednesday night faith and fellowship opportunity for kids between the ages of 3 years and 6th grade. Through a variety of activities, kids learn how to make Jesus a part of everything they do.
Vacation Bible School 2026
Vacation Bible School meets for one week during the summer for fun, fun, and more fun! Each year provides ways for kids to connect with God and with other kids through Bible stories, music, snacks, crafts, and more! VBS is open to kids between the ages of three years (must be fully potty-trained) and 6th grade. We offer a special tween program for 5th and 6th graders. Registration begins in May 2026.
connect56
Connect56 is a Friday night fun and fellowship group for 5th and 6th graders. At this stage of your child’s life, kids can often feel they don’t fit in anywhere. They feel too big to be with the little kids and too young to hang out with teenagers. This is why we created Connect56! Through social gatherings & outings planned and hosted by parents, tweens create bonds with their peers that will carry over to Valencia Church Youth when they enter 7th grade. This group meets one or two Friday nights per month, September through May. This group is purely social; no lessons! You come to events that fit with your child’s schedule.
