Helping Locally

We believe it is important to use some of our resources locally.
VUMC has a long history of serving in ways that make a difference in the Santa Clarita Valley.
There are several opportunities to help.

In-House Serving Opportunities

We are each called to serve the church using the spiritual gifts that God has given us. For more information about specific ministry areas contact: Kelley Cannizzaro (kids & families), Pastor Camille Mattick (youth), April Piroumian (hospitality & welcome, in-house ministries)

Currently, there are over 850 homeless children in the William S. Hart School District, signaling an important need here in our local community. SCV Food Pantry and Santa Clarita Grocery

The Santa Clarita Food Pantry and Santa Clarita Grocery are the local organizations that our church supports through the Communion Sunday Food Drive. The organizations provide supplemental food to the residents of Santa Clarita and have experienced a significant increase in individuals seeking assistance during the past year.

Join us in supporting local food agencies. Donations may be left in the Fellowship Hall hallway on the first Sunday of each month.
